Richard Barnes

He was born in West Hickory to the late Glenn and Margaret (Downing) Barnes.

Richard worked for the Warren County School District for 25 years, retiring from there. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be sadly missed by all and so very loved.

Richard is survived by his wife, Tammy Graham Barnes, whom he married on May 15, 1999; a son, Richard (Ann) Barnes Jr.; a daughter, Amy (Dennis) Gibson; a brother, Charles (Judy) Barnes,; three grand- children: Justin (Andrea) Barnes, Ryan Morgan and companion, Brandie Fill and Nakia Edwards; a great-grandson, Preston Gibson; a great-granddaughter, Delilah Barnes; his mother-in-law, Susan Mack and companion, Larry Dun-lap; sisters-in-law: Dawn Graham and companion, Doug Hesse and Toni (Laurie) Graham, a brother-in- law, John (Jody) Losey; two very close nieces: Brittany (Dylan) Foely and Briona Miller and companion, Matt Schutt; three great-nieces: Adalynn and Aaliyah Foley and Payton Keys; and two great- nephews: Grayson Miller and Kanon Schutt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Glenn Barnes Jr., William Barnes, Robert Barnes and Thomas Barnes; and five sisters: Mary Pyle, Lila Mae Anthony, Arlene Black, Pearl Webster and Ruth Womeldorf.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Aseracare Hospice of Erie, Spring Creek Cemetery or the Garland Volunteer Fire Department.
