Alfred E. Heubach

Alfred E. Heubach, 90, of Westmoreland City, formerly of Warren, Pa., died Friday, May 28, 2021.

He was born June 11, 1930, in Warren, a son of the late Alfred and Leota (Greenlund) Heubach.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War. After his military service, he went to work as a union bricklayer, working for several contractors in Northwestern Pa., and the Southern Tier of N.Y. In 1986, Al and his wife, Sue moved to Westmoreland City, and he went to work as a construction superintendent for the state of Pennsylvania before retiring in 2001.

Al enjoyed many years vacationing at the Outer Banks in North Carolina with Sue and his family. He also liked going to breakfast and dinner with his buddies.

He was a member of Shidle Lodge No. 601, F&M and Warren Elks Lodge 223, and the Manor Valley Golf Course.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 61 years, Mary “Sue” Heubach.

He is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Judith) Heubach of Greensburg, Ind., and Kim S. McTavish (Darryl) of Warren, Pa.; his grandchildren: Jacob White (Andrea), Philip Heubach, and Heather White (Shawn); and his great- grandchildren: Tyler and Aiden Heubach, Basil and Cora White, and great-great-granddaughter, Haven Heubach.

At Alfred’s request there will be no viewing. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. A masonic service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, followed by military honors.
