Richard G. Starks
Richard G. Starks, 80 of Warren, Pa., and Bemus Point, N.Y., passed May 8, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Dick was born June 12, 1940, to the late Clifford and Louise Crandel Starks in Jamestown, N.Y. He was employed at several grocery stores as a meat cutter and also worked at Jamestown Metal Products. After retiremen,t he started Dickies Do All and also worked with Petersons Auction and Habitat for Humanity.
Dick was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed trap shooting with family and many friends, he also enjoyed working with his son producing Maple Syrup.
Richard is survived by his wife, Donna (Baxter) Starks; his sister, Virginia Marzoni; his sons: Richard G. Starks Jr. (Lanina), Ronald Trawick (Tammy); and his daughters: Peggy Bentley (Daniel), Rhonda Narlee (Ronald), Kimberlee Leach (Michael); 13 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marlene Walrod.
A memorial service will be held June 12, 2021 from 3-5 p.m., at the Sugar Grove Firehall in Sugar Grove Pa.
The family would like to thank AseraCare and the Cancer Care Center of Warren for their attentive care of Dick.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial donation be made to the Leukemia Foundation.
