Rhea Mae Burleigh

She was born Feb. 26, 1928, a daughter to the late Rudolph and Eva (Wilcox) Schmiedel.

Rhea was a 1945 gradu-ate of Warren Area High School. She enjoyed at-tending luncheons with her classmates and a special group of friends. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing most of her family’s clothes for many years, in-cluding suits for her hus-band. She always left a pin in whatever she made to say I love you. She also enjoyed participating in arts and craft shows around the area and traveling. Most of all, Rhea loved spending time with and caring for her family.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Shelly Burleigh, Debra Burleigh and Holly (Fred) Stimmell and her loving puppy dog, Barney, all of Russell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rhea was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Eugene “Gene” Burleigh; her brother, Duane Schmiedel; her sis-ter- in-law, Lori Schmiedell and her life-long friend, Dixie Weldon.

No services will be held at this time.
