Dorothy Hanson

She was born Febr. 7, 1933, in Warren, Pa. Dorothy was the daughter of William Glenn and Margaret E. Eshbaugh Cook.

She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of Warren High School. She was employed as a receptionist with the former Dr. Erickson and Dr. Walters medical offices. She had also worked as a waitress at the former Star Diner, G.T.E. Sylvania and Whirley Industries.

She was a member of the former Epworth United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, John C. Hanson, whom she married at Epworth United Methodist Church, Warren, Pa., on April 22, 1955; two children: Laurie K. Carlson of Warren, Pa., and Tom Hanson and wife, Kathy of Trumbauersville, Pa.; one brother, Glenn “Bud” Cook of Warren, Pa.; two step- grandchildren: Matthew and Ben Yeskey; three step- great-randchildren: Josh, Dylan and Morgan; several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
