Catherine Anne ‘‘Cathy’’ (Sheehy) (Myers) Frederick
Catherine Anne ”Cathy” (Sheehy) (Myers) Frederick, 61, of Allison Park, Pa., passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, after a lengthy illness.
Cathy was born May 13, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Patrick F. Sheehy and J. Lynne and Dr. Charles Myers.
Cathy graduated from Youngsville High School in 1977. She was previously employed by Schultz Ford, Krebbs Chrysler as administrative assistant and Notary and Dynamic Equipment.
Cathy loved lighthouses and her personality reflected its symbolism of the unique way she could light up a room. She is remembered for her warmth and care for others.
She was a music enthusiast, enjoyed attending concerts and she loved all things Michael Bolton.
She enjoyed the ocean, beaches, the sun, boating and traveling to Cape Cod, Mass., Ocean City and Atlantic City, N.J. Cathy was ready anytime to go shopping and dining at Red Lobster.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 41 years, Kenneth S. Frederick. They were wed on July 14, 1979. Her siblings: Carol Rickerson of Youngsville, Pa., Chris Myers and fiance, John Mack of Youngsville, Pa., Cassandra “Sandy” (George) Traut of Warren, Pa., Charmaine “Stacey” (Justin) Ingram of McKeesport, Pa., and Charles “Chuck” (Kendra) Myers, III of Merrimack, N.H.; her nephews: Casey (Chelsea) Rickerson, Ryan (Emily) Rickerson, Corey Traut, Kyle Traut, Noah Myers, Chaz Myers, Jacob Myers and Brandon Myers; Several great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins; and her loving friend and caretaker, Anita Yalch.
Cathy is preceded in death by two children at birth; her parents; and brother-in-law, Rob Rickerson.
A private celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 15, at 11 a.m. at Richland Sportsmen’s Club, 5519 Richland Ave., Gibsonia, PA 15044.
I’m proud of the strength you’ve shown to meet any situation, and I’m fortunate to have you and blessed to call you my wife. I will miss you and your constant beautiful smile, will think of you every day. I love you so much.
