Jean B. Port
Jean Barbara (Crisp) Port, 74, of Youngsville, Pa., went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tues-day, Feb. 23, 2021.
Jean was born on Jan. 28, 1947, in Ipswich, Suf-folk, England, to Edgar and Lilian Crisp Margetson.
Jean married Daniel Owen Port Sr., in Ipswich April 11, 1970, where he was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. She immigrated to the United States and lived in Las Vegas, Nev., before settling in Youngs-ville.
Jean was a quiet but for-midable woman who lived for her family and being Nana. A homemaker most of her life, she took great pride in her housekeeping. She enjoyed reading, watching romantic comedy movies, and listening to music- especially country. After decades out of the workforce, when her chil-dren were grown, she worked at PVI as a dishwasher. She found companionship with two black labs, Molly and Sally. She had a strong Christian faith which she expressed in her baptism Aug. 23, 2020.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant twin brother at birth.
She is survived by five children, Daniel Port Jr., Sandra (Joseph) Cedrone, Lori (Bodie) Rose, all of Youngsville, Linda (Daniel) Tassone, of War-ren, and Robert (Melissa) Port of Midland, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Abby Tassone, Emily (Ryan) Rickerson, Cole (Kelsey) Cedrone, Sarah and Brett Rose, Keziah and Zoey Port, two great-grandchil-dren, Paisley and Colby Rickerson, a brother, Edgar (Linda) Margetson, of Ipswich, Suffolk, England; a sister, Eileen (Joseph) Sondej, Trenton, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at noon at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville with the Rev. Rick Ham-rick, pastor of the Youngs-ville free Methodist Church, officiating. Friends will be received 1 hour pri-or to the service. Burial will follow in the Youngs-ville Cemetery.
