Thomas M. McDunn

Thomas M. McDunn, Sr., 83, of Warren, P.A. died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, N.Y.

Born on July 26, 1937 in Johnstown, P.A., he was the son of the late Michael H. and Cecelia Weimer McDunn. Tom was a long-time Warren area resident and was a graduate of Ebensburg High School in 1956. He was employed with the former Struthers Wells Corporation as a Quality Control Inspector from 1971-1991 and was previously employed at Deluxe Metal.

Tom was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. He was an avid Christmas bak-er, making candy, cookies, rumballs, and his peanut brittle. He enjoyed wood-working and was quite the woodworker. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years and golfed in leagues. He liked fishing, camping at Red Oak Campground, and at Chesapeake Bay.

Tom is survived by his three sons – Thomas M. McDunn, Jr. of Warren, P.A., Todd M. McDunn and wife, Theresa, of Columbus, O.H., and Troy K. McDunn and wife, Caprece, of Warren, P.A.; 9 grandchildren – Melissa McDunn and fiance Taylor Christie, Benjamin McDunn and fiance, Tonya Vroman, Danielle McDunn and fiance Randy Ruth, Michael McDunn, Connor McDunn and fiance Ra-chael Billman, Brady McDunn, Joshua McDunn, Cassandra Gaskill and hus-band, Stephon, and Lindsay (Joseph) Bevevino; nine great grandchildren – Madison, Lettie, Harper, Adelynn, Donovan, Ariyah, Benjamin, Graham, and Eliott; one brother – James B. McDunn of Warren, P.A.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Susan K. Hotelling McDunn, whom he married Oct. 12, 1957 in Warren, P.A., and who died on Nov. 27, 2012; two brothers – Michael P. McDunn, Sr., and Edward J. McDunn; and a sister – Anna Marie McDunn.

A private service will be held by the family. Inter-ment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
