Robert V. Johnson II

Robert V. Johnson II, of Russell, died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, P.A. following a three-week illness.

Bob was born on Oct. 17, 1956 in Warren, P.A., the oldest child and only son of Robert V. Johnson and Betty Garvin Johnson. A lifelong resident of Russell, Bob graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1974, and was employed by Blair Corporation for 32 years, and later by Ellwood National Forge for the past eleven years.

Bob will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family, his love of nature and the outdoors, and his mentoring youth throughout his life as a coach and 4H leader.

In addition to his mother, Betty, he is survived by his wife, Rene H. Johnson, to whom he was married for thirty years; three sons, L. Caleb Johnson and his fiancee Zoe Mathias, of LaGrande, Oregon; R. Blake Johnson of San Diego, California; and Graham H. Johnson, at home; three foster daughters, Lisa (Scott); Kaylee; and Tiffany; three sisters, Joyce Benton (Greg Leofsky); Dawn (Jeffery) Keller; and Faith (Kevin) Thomas, all of Warren County; his mother-in-law Nancy L. Heilman, of Sarver, Penn-sylvania; his father-in-law J. Daniel Heilman, also of Sarver; his sisters-in-law Amy (Rocco) Bruno of Bastrop, Texas, and Erika Heilman (Myron Kurtiak) of Lee, New Hampshire; brother-in-laws Bradley (Heidi) Heilman of Waylan, Massachusetts, and Nathan Heilman (Therese Fafard) of New Haven, Vermont; 21 nieces and nephews and 12 great grandnieces and grandnephews, his aunt, Nancy Johnson, of Warren and his uncle, Russell John-son, of Russell.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Robert V. Johnson, on Jan. 2, 2021.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Fri-day, Jan. 22, from 4-6 p.m., and on Saturday, Jan. 23, fro 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A private Graveside Service will follow at the Thompson Hill Cemetery.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Praise Fellowship, 7451 Market Street, Russell, P.A., with the Pastor Chuck Blair, Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, of the Church of the New Jerusalem.
