Christian Scott Iverson Sr.

On Saturday, Jan. 16 2021, Christian Scott Iver-son Sr., loving brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, fa-ther, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 67 from COVID-19 at UPMC Hamot Hospital Erie P.A.

Chris was born on March 13, 1953 in Rabat, Moroc-co to Mother Meriem Che-trit of Africa and father Donald Iverson who served in the Navy from Washing-ton State. Being a US ci-tizen by birth due to his American father he joined the United States Marine Corps May 15,1972 direct-ly from Morocco expand-ing on the English language and having served honor-ably during his tour. In the process of coming to Amer-ica he learned how to speak English fluently and com-pleted high school. He has been a longtime resident of Warren County, P.A. where he worked at Deluxe Indus-try till their closing and then at the United Refinery as a technician shortly after. Chris took pride in hard working, gardening and was an avid fishermen. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends, helping others in need no matter the incon-venience it may have caused himself.

A love for nature, draw-ing pictures for others to enjoy, playing card games with family and friends, and a love for his grand-sons; Aidan, Ethan, and Evan. He enjoyed solving strategy questions to keep his mind sharp, an avid love for music, and his love of working on automobiles. He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.

The McKinney Funeral home will be attending to his final wishes. Out of his request and respect there will be no service or funeral held but to anyone wanting to offer a donation one can choose the Allegheny Na-tional Forest, any local businesses struggling to stay open, and/or anyone in need during this difficult time.
