Charles A. Grinnen IV

He was born July 12, 1967, in Warren to Charles A. Grinnen III and Nancy M. Grinnen.

Chuckie, as we called him, was our first child and he was a wonderful blessing. He was our only child for five years and we enjoyed him so very much. I think God knew he was not going to be with me and passed away too soon. His father passed away almost seven years before Chuckie died. I know they are in Heaven with our Lord.

Chuckie was a standout wrestler during his high school years, earning a sixth place medal at the PIAA tournament his senior year. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1990 with a degree in communications. After college, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy M. Grinnen of Warren; brothers: Scott C. Grinnen and wife, Jodi of Spring Hill, Fla., and James L. Grinnen and wife, Rowena of York, Pa.; nephew, Toby Grinnen of Riverview, Fla.; nieces: Lacey Grinnen of Spring Hill, Fla., and Leda Grinnen of York, Pa. He also loved his cousin, Missy very much. He is also survived by his wife, Bonnie Grinnen; and sons: Charles Grinnen V. and Alexi M. Grinnen, all of Warren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Grinnen III; his grandparents, Carl and Ruth Culbertson and Charles and Helen Grinnen; and his sweet aunt, Carolee.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
