Karen L. (McGraw) Craft, 82, of the Rouse Home, Youngsville, Pa., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020
She was born April 14, 1938, in Tidioute, Pa., a daughter to the late Hugh “Bud” L. McGraw and Ellen V. (Peterson) McGraw.
Karen graduated from Tidioute High School in 1956. She married Paul M. Craft on Oct. 27, 1956, in Tidioute, Pa., at the Swedish Union Church, a marriage that lasted 64 years.
Karen was employed at Struthers Wells in Warren for several years and then was manager at the Tidioute Towers from it’s opening in 1981 through August 2000. She and Paul then moved to Florida for a few years before moving back to Tidioute.
She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family. She and her husband were members of the Kinzua Campers, which led them to many wonderful adventures. Karen enjoyed reading, knitting and crocheting and her relatives and friends were blessed with her many creations.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Tidioute and sometimes played the piano and organ there for services and events. She was also a member of the Tidioute Fortnightly Club and one of the founding members of the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Karen will be sadly missed by her children: Timothy P. Craft (Mona), Tidioute, Michael R. Craft (April), Tidioute, Lisa Spulecki (Tim), Rhinelander, Wis., David Craft (Denise), Tidioute, and Kathryn Cunningham (Rich), Alverda, Pa.; along with 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband, Paul M. Craft; her sisters: Sandra Jamieson, Tidioute, Pa., and Sharon Williams (Kenneth), Tidioute, Pa.; her sister-in-law, Diane McGraw; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas M. McGraw; and her niece and nephew: Greg and Debra Jamieson Brown.
Per Karen and the family’s wishes there will be no viewing hours or funeral service. A burial service will take place at the convenience of the family at the Swedish Union Cemetery, Tidioute, Pa., and will be announced at a later date for friends and family to attend.
