Doris M. “Dody” Snavley Peterson

She was born Jan. 28, 1931, in Warren, a daughter to the late Roy and Addie Mae (Kitelinger) Snavley.

Dody graduated in the WAHS class of 1949. A Warren resident all of her life, she had been employed at the New Process Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1986. She and her late husband James “Pete” Peterson spent the winters in Ft. Myers Beach, FL. She was a charter member of St. John’s Lutheran Church on Pleasant Dr. She enjoyed bowling, garage sales, collecting antiques and traveling.

Dody is survived by two nieces: Pat (Bill) Hendrickson of Pittsfield and Susan of Florida.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Snavley; and a sister, Lois Highhouse.

Due to Covid restrictions no services will be held at this time. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at St. John’s Church. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
