George Head

He was born Feb. 4, 1932 in Tiona, Pa. George was the son of Kenneth and Matie Arp Head. He was a Russell area resident most of his life. He had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a technical corporal and earned a Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars and a UN Service Medal. He was a truck driver by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia M, Morrison of Russell, Pa.; three children: George W. Head Jr. of Carson City, Nev., Jeffrey A. Head of Warren, Pa., and Allen L. Head of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Edward Head; and three sisters: Lena, Dorothy and Ruby

A private funeral service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Wesleyan Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Pa.
