Mildred Eadie

Mildred Pauline Riley Eadie, 93, of Russell, Pa., died Tuesday evening, Sept. 9, 2020, at Kinzua Health-care and Rehabilitation Center, Warren, Pa., after suffering an apparent stroke in August, 2020.

She was born March 13, 1927, in Greenville, Pa.. She was the daughter of the late Jerry G and Elvira E. Fischer Riley.

Mildred was a longtime Warren and Russell, Pa., resident for most of her en-tire life. She graduated in Jamestown, N.Y.. in 1945. She received nurses training from Jamestown General Hospital, Warren General Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital of South Bend, Ind., and also took correspondence classes from Chicago School of Nursing and Florence Nightingale School of Nurs-ing. She had been a nurse’s assistant for over 60 years and loved every minute of it. She retired in 1991 from Kinzua Valley Healthcare after 12 ¢ years employ-ment and also did private duty home healthcare. She was of the Methodist faith.

Her pride and joy were her sons and her grandchil-dren, whom she loved dee-ply. She enjoyed and loved her special pets, in her life-time, Suzy, Hobe, Moose, Bear, Mercury and Grayson. She loved all animals and loved people, especially her special friends who were al-ways there for her.

Mildred is survived by her sons: Rodney M. Eadie and wife, Sherri and Randy M. Eadie and wife, Kay; two grandsons: Logan R. Eadie and Nathan J. Eadie; and one sister, Florence Reynolds, all of Russell, Pa.; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Ro-binault of Warren, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Murray Eadie, whom she married Dec. 19, 1959, at St. John Lutheran Church, Warren, Pa., and who died April 3, 1997; four brothers: Lester E., Edward J., Harold Ver-non and David R. Riley; and two sisters: Dorothy E. Riley Fasenmyer and Lillian V. Sorensen.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St., Warren, Pa., on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, from 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at the Holy Redeemer Roman Ccatholic Church, 11 Russell St., Warren, Pa., from 12:30-1:30 p.m., when a funeral service will be con-ducted by Father Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating. CDC Guidelines of masks and social distancing will be will be enforced. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Pa.
