Chester M. Brooks

Born March 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Henry and Ruth Brooks. He served in the 82nd Airborn Division during the Korean conflict. Chet was employed at Marlin Rockwell for 42 years as a grinder and retired in 1995. Over the years, he really enjoyed his home, his farm, and children and grandchildren. Walking was part of his daily routine and he was very proud that he participated in the Sugar Grove 5k walk into his eighties. He enjoyed walking his dogs in the woods and spending a lot of time on his tractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen Rae Brooks. who died in 1967; his second wife, Rosanne Marie Brooks. who died in 2005; a son, Brian White; a daughter, Nancy Hussey, a brother, Bus Brooks; and a sister, Alice Clough.

Surviving are seven children: Patsy Brooks, Trudy Kenderdine, Lorin Brooks, William Brooks, Keith White, Diane Matve and Linda Thomas Whalen; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews

Due to COVID 19, a graveside service will be held at the Chandlers Valley Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday the 19. Friends will be received from 11-11:30 a.m., at the grave.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Grove Mission Covenant Church or Paws along the River.
