Marc R. “Max” Briggs

Marc R. “Max” Briggs, 68, of Lottsville, Pa, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospi-tal in Erie, Pa.

He was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Warren, Pa., a son to the late Frank and Jean (Jordan) Briggs. Max was a lumber inspector for 30 years at Hyma-Devore Lumber Mill. He was a long-time member of the Sugar Grove AMVETS Post 50 and the Corry Country Club. He loved dirt track racing, golfing, hunting and most of all, spending time at camp.

Max is survived by his brother, Todd (Patty) Briggs of Bemus Point, N.Y.; a sister, Rebecca Briggs Carr of Warren; a sister-in-law, Kathy (Schnell) Briggs; his nieces and nephews: Rick “Boom” (Shere) Briggs, Steve (Christina) Briggs, Holly (Todd) Jaquay, Carrie (Brad) Kurtzman, Chrissy (Steve) Sellstrom, Brodie Briggs, Ryan Chapman and Michael (Meghann) Chap-man.

In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Briggs.

A celebration of life will be held on Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Jordan family camp in Lottsville with a pig roast to follow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sugar Grove Amvets Post 50, 3838 Sto-ney Run Road, Sugar Grove, PA 16350, to be used for High School Scho-larships and the food pan-try.
