Cindi Agnew

Cindi P. Agnew, 77, of Warren, Pa., went to be with her maker, Thursday morning, July 9, 2020, at Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y., after suffering an apparent heart attack while at the Salamanca Casino, Salamanca, N.Y.

Cindi was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Warren, Pa., and was a lifelong Warren resident. She was a 1960 graduate of Warren High School. She and her husband, Jan, were owners and operator of Hidden Valley Campground from 1983 until their retirement in 2000. She enjoyed her visits to the casino, playing bridge and 500.

Cindi was an active member at Covenant United Methodist Church, where she was involved in numerous church functions. She was a member of the Friday Ladies Bridge Group and a 40 plus year member of the friends 500 Card Club Group.

She is lovingly remembered as a woman who was a fun, free spirit, who enjoyed meeting and talking to new people she had never met before. She truly loved life and made all who met her feel special. She was a class act. Her husband, children and her family were her entire life, whom she loved and cared for to the end.

Cindi is survived by her children, Jim Agnew and wife, Denise of Warren, Pa., Julie Dalton and husband, Greg of Sheffield, Pa., grandson, Jaime Vizcanio-Bellod of Valladolid, Spain; sister, Judy D’Angelo of Jamestown, N.Y., two nieces; one nephew; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jan F. Agnew, whom she married in Warren, Pa., on Oct. 1, 1960, and who died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019; a half-brother, Scott C. Terry; and half-sister, Susan D. Maduria.

Friends are invited to attend visitation hours with CDC mandate of social distancing and must wear masks at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St., Warren, Pa.. on Monday, July 13, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m., where a funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ralph Culp, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Pa.
