Carol Jean Ishman

Carol was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Clarendon, Pa., to the late Russell and Florence (Fox) Vandenburg.

Carol was a graduate of Westfield High School. She worked as a hairdresser and owned and operated Carol’s Beauty shop in Clarendon. In her later years, she worked as a personal healthcare aide for several families. Carol’s husband, Richard had a camper at Red Oak that they loved to spend time in with their family.

She loved nature and enjoyed sitting on her back porch and feeding the deer that roamed in her back yard. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and like decorating her home with flowers and special decor.

Carol adored her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol also loved her dogs and cats, her most recent pet being her dog, Buddy.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Heather Cataldo; a brother, Clyde “Bump” (Joyce) Vandenburg; her sister, Cindy Beane; her five grandchildren: Logan Campisano, Chandler Cummings, Cassidy Cataldo, and Delaney Cataldo and Kaitlin Ishman; one great-grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ishman; her son, Darby Ishman; and her grandson, Jeffrey Ishman.

The family has asked that memorial donations be made to the Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Road, Warren, PA 16365.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced at a later date.
