Caleb T Hultman

Caleb T Hultman, 25, of Warren, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after suffering a traumatic injury.

He was born Feb. 17, 1995, in Warren. He is survived by his father, Stephen Hultman and stepmother Pamela Bova of Warren, Pa. He is also survived by his mother, Michele Houghtling Mineweaser and stepfather Scott Mineweaser of Corry, Pa.

Caleb was a 2013 graduate of Warren Area High School. During high school, he was a member of the State Champion Envirothon team and the high school track team. He holds the school record for the 800M run and the 4×4 relay team with his friends and teammates. Caleb enjoyed snowboarding in the winters and went to states many times for bowling. He attended Penn State Behrend, where he was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity, then went on to attend Edinboro University.

Caleb was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved trout fishing with his grandpa Jim and hunting on his Uncle Connie’s farm in Lander with his cousins. He also had a soft spot for his Grandma Linda’s green Jell-O and Grandma Sue’s cookies. Caleb was an Eagle Scout and had a strong work ethic. He took pride in his work and enjoyed working with his brother, Brandon.

Caleb was a wonderful uncle, who made his nieces and nephews feel special. His passion was playing softball at Betts park on Friday nights and Sundays. He considered his softball family his second family. He remained close to his high school buddies, who have all stayed in touch and are a great group of young men.

Caleb had a huge heart and gave the best hugs in the world. He was kind to everyone he met, had a great sense of humor with the biggest smile. He enjoyed helping others whenever he could. Even in death he helped others as an organ donor. While we grieve this tragic accident, we take comfort in knowing that Caleb lives on while giving the gift of life to so many people.

In addition to his parents, Caleb is survived by his girlfriend, Kourtney Jackson and her son Grayson; a brother, Brandon Hultman and his companion, Amy Hannon and their children: Riley and Gabriel Hultman, a stepbrother, Adam Cassell and his children: Blake and Mackenzie Cassell; his maternal grandparents, Jim and Linda Houghtling; his aunts: Amy Houghtling and Lesley (Joel) Berdine, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ron Hultman and Susan Hultman.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday July 2, 2020, from 4-8 p.m. at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church 179 Davis St. in Youngsville.
