Anthony (Tony) Joseph Scuteri

Anthony (Tony) Joseph Scuteri, 76, of Sheffield, passed away Tuesday morning July 21, 2020, at the Warren Manor.

He was born March 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Anthony Scuteri and Stella (Lisz) Miller. Tony was a graduate of Sheffield High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army.

Tony was a man with a huge heart who would help anyone. He always had a joke to tell! On a daily basis he could be found hauling something away for someone. He was a collector of just about anything. He enjoyed collecting Sheffield memorabilia. His pride and joy was his 1971 SS Chevelle that was restored by his son Rusty. The inscription on the back of the car read “Tony’s Junkyard Jewel!”

Tony retired as a self-employed contractor and working part-time at the Warren Elks Club. He was a former member of the Eagles Club of Warren. Above all else Tony’s family was very important to him. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart.

Left to cherish Tony’s memory are his wife Cheryl (Bray) Scuteri of Sheffield; a son, Anthony (Rusty) Russell III and his wife Dana of South Carolina; two daughters, Michelle Grubbs and her husband Scott of Barns and Antionette (Pinkie) Scuteri of Reading, Pa. He is also survived by his half-sister Kathy Geiger of Sheffield.

Tony is survived by his four grandchildren: Lexie, Lynzie and Reed Grubbs and Cait-Lynn Scuteri. He is further survived by his special friend and coworker, Johnny Calhoon of Sheffield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Harris) Scuteri; brothers Carl Zimmer and Zeke (Jack) Zimmer; and a sister Nancy Miller.

Tony’s family will welcome family and friends on Saturday, July 25, 2020, from 1-3 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. Private family services will be held at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Douglas Brink officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Tony’s memory to the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 551, Sheffield, PA 16347.
