Geraldine M. Olson
Geraldine M. Olson, 85, of Irvine, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020, at UPMC Hamot, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Sunday, June 12.
She was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Pittsburgh. Geraldine was a member of the Saron Lutheran Church in Youngsville. She was an accomplished artist, drawing landscapes and buildings.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Olson, whom she married in 1950 in Falconer, N.Y., her children; Elizabeth Ann Corey of Warren, Jean (David) Amstutz of Butler and Joanne (Charles) Miller; four grandchildren: Eric (Kim) Corey, Paul (Alicia) Corey, Carrie Sander and Sara (Nick) Adams; and five great–grandchildren: Grady, Attie, Reese, Gianna and Colton.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, August and Iola (Seder) Nelson.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25 at 11a.m., at the Saron Lutheran Church, 148 W. Main St., in Youngsville, with the Rev. Nancy Schwanke officiating. Friends and family will be received 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Saron Lutheran Church.
