Ethel Reed

Ethel was born Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1929, in Youngsville, Pa. She was the daughter of H. Archie and Inez C. Hildum Woodin.

She was a resident of Bear Lake since 1951, and was employed with the former New Process Company as an inspector, retiring from there in 1989 after 15 years employment. Ethel was a foster mother for 33 years.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen Fronk (Donald) of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Sheryl Waterman of Stow, N.Y., and Jamie Scott (Chevy) of Garland, Pa.; one brother, Ronald Woodin of Bear Lake, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren; four great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Reed, whom she married Feb, 15, 1947, in Lottsville, Pa., and who died Jan. 3, 2008; one son, James Reed; one daughter, Sandra Ann Mourer; granddaughter, Francesca Lynn Reed; infant sister, Patricia Woodin; sister, Autumn Saunders; and three brothers: Archie, Robert, and Roger Woodin.

A celebration of her life will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Lottsville Cemetery, Lottsville, Pa.
