Eileen A. Stahl
Eileen Ann Stahl, 91, of Warren, PA, died Monday morning, April 6, 2020 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born February 28, 1929 in Irvington, NJ. Eileen was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna Bayer Zwigard. She was a Warren area resident since 1976, moving from South Plainfield, NJ.
She was employed in the housekeeping department of the Warren State Hospital, retiring from there after 12 years employment. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church, the church Altar Rosary Society, and prayed the rosary regularly.
She was a member of the Sheffield Homemakers, enjoyed sewing, knitting, puzzles, tending to houseplants and best of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her five daughters, Kathleen Kavka and husband, Paul of S. Plainfield, NJ; Deborah Read and husband, Tom of Califon, NJ; Maianne Malloy and husband, Patrick, and Maureen Moore and husband, Rod all of Warren, PA. Lois Crozier and husband, Steven, of Highland, PA; one sister, Helen McCann of Maplewood, NJ; 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Kristen, Mike, Katie, P.J., Amanda, Jake, Andrew, Helene, Kimberly, Laura, Jacob, Tracy, Dylan, Margaret, Carly, Alyssa, and Kyle; 6+ great-grandchildren, Maddie, Natalie, P.J., Summer, Elijah, Liam, and one “Moore” due in May; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer John Stahl who died December, 27, 1995, whom she married October 21, 1950 in Newark, NJ; five brothers, Norman, Francis, Edwin, Robert, and Albert Zwigard; five sisters, Loretta Hughes, Margaret Zwigard, Marian Caldwell, Dorothy Caldwell, Rose Lowe.
Due to state mandates, there will be no visitation hours observed. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at the convenience of the family at St. Joseph R.C. Church with Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Michael’s cemetery, Sheffield, PA. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Foundation.
