Terry L. Nelson
Terry L. Nelson, 68, of Warren, Pa, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 following a brief illness. A lifelong Warren area resident, he was born on July 31, 1951. He was the son of the late Gunnard N. Nelson and Mary Frantz Carlson. Terry was a graduate of Warren Area High School. He was a self-employed general contractor, carpenter, plumber, painter and electrician for many years. He was the co-owner of the Youngsville Greenhouse and later was the co-owner of the Nelson and Check Tree Farm and Nursery, where he operated a nursery and choose and cut Christmas Tree Farm. Terry enjoyed being with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and watching NASCAR and old westerns on TV. He liked to read books about Warren’s history.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lisa Clepper Nelson, 4 children Steven Nelson of Warren, PA; Daniel Nelson of Greenwood, DE; Kevin Nelson of Warren, PA; Emily Nelson of Waldoboro, ME; 3 grandchildren Aubrey, Elijah and Daniel Nelson; his siblings Judy Nelson Crothers, Robert Nelson, Valerie Nelson Schultz and John Nelson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Nelson.
