Norma Davis

Norma J. Davis, 73, of Center St., Bear Lake, Pa., died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at her residence.

She was born February 22, 1947, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Charles Edward Fiely and Imogene Rankin Savko.

Norma was raised in Bear Lake and Panama, NY. Following school, she got married and was a homemaker until her children were grown. She then worked several jobs, including Acurite, where she worked until she retired in 1995. Norma lived in North Carolina from 2008 for a time and then returned to the area in 2016 to be with family. She spent her time caring for her husband, Ted, until she became ill.

Norma attended the Pentacostal Church in Clayton, N.C., and the Church of Bear Lake. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Norman enjoyed painting, stenciling walls, and mailboxes, sewing, making things and loved to cook. She especially enjoyed being on their house boat and being around family. She was a giver and always made sure others had what they needed. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her stepfather, Charlie Savko.

Norma is survived by her husband, Ted E. Davis, whom she married October 12, 1963 in Bear Lake, Pa.; two daughters, Romona Bailey and her husband Wayne of Panama, N.Y., and Laurie Davis of Russell, Pa.; five halfsisters, Cheryl Savko and her husband Newark of California, Beverly Trusso and her husband Ross of Warren, Pa., Donna Fry of Warren, Pa., Vicki Garvin of Jamestown, N.Y., and Sandi Marsh and her husband Mike of Panama, N.Y.; and a halfbrother, Charlie Savko Jr. of Columbus, Pa.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, John Funk, Steven Bailey, Zackariah and Bryceton Wilkins; and a greatgranddaughter, Reese Funk.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
