Mona Adams

Mona was born on April 19, 1928, in Endeavor, PA, to the late Glenn (Hinnie) and Luella (Porter) McKown.

Mona was a member of First United Methodist Church, in Tidioute, and a life member of VFW Auxiliary to Post 8803. She enjoyed knitting, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles and playing shuffleboard with her brother as a partner. Mona was deeply loved by her family and will be missed by them all.

Mona is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline (Daniel) Edmiston, of Tidioute, Brenda L. Atkin, of Erie, Deidra Himes, of Warren; her son, Kevin (Kathleen) Wiles, of Warren; her grandchildren, Michael (Mark) Edmiston, of Las Vegas, Danielle Edmiston, of Charleston, SC, Jennifer Jo Wiles, of Warren, Misty Clark, of Wyoming, Daniel Wiles, of Warren, Samantha Wiles, of Warren, Devan(Jordan) Copley, of Sheffield, and Lauren (Thomas Pelligrino) Christy, of Warren; her six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her brother, Jack L McKown, of Youngsville.

In addition to her parents, Mona is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald “Pete” Wiles, in June 1980; her second husband, Robert Adams, in 1990; her son, Peter Wiles, in March of 2013; her youngest brother, Brenton McKown; and her soninlaw Jason Himes.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
