Carl Johnson

Carl was born on February 12, 1946 in Chandler’s Valley, PA, the son of the late Laurence and Thelma Oviatt Johnson.

Carl graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1964. Following high school he served in the United States Air Force. He served his basic training in Texas and worked in clerical department in New Jersey. Carl attended Jamestown Business College and Dyke College of Cleveland, OH, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

Carl was a member of Chandler Valley United Methodist Church and the Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department. He was selfemployed as an Income Tax Preparer.

Carl is survived by his uncle Richard (Helen) Arp of Texas; close friends: Wayne and Nancy Schoonover of Sugar Grove, PA and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: James Johnson; three uncles: Theron L. Johnson, Kenneth and Robert Oviatt.

Family and friends may call at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 117 Main Street, Sugar Grove, PA on Friday from 11AM until 1PM. A funeral service will be held there at 1PM. Pastor Larry Condron, pastor of Good News Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Hill Cemetery, Chandler’s Valley, PA.
