Ruth Ann Carol Shick Lobdell, a longtime resident of Warren, PA died at her daughter’s home on January 2, 2020, in Frenchtown, NJ after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was 76.
Mrs. Lobdell was born on May 5, 1943, in Allegheny County PA to her parents, Clarence Shick and Enid Allen Shick. The family moved to Kinzua, Pennsylvania shortly after her birth. She graduated from Warren High School. After being displaced from the building of the Kinzua Dam, she lived in Warren, PA. She married her lifelong husband, Judy Charles Lobdell on April 25, 1964. She and her husband moved to Lady Lake Florida in 1994. She subsequently moved back to Warren (Pleasant Township) in 2000 to be closer to her grandchildren.
Mrs. Lobdell leaves behind a son Jody Charles Lobdell and his wife Patricia Lobdell of Warren, as well as a daughter Julie Lobdell Johnson and husband Eric Johnson of Frenchtown, New Jersey. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Rachael Lobdell, Kathryn Lobdell, Julia Lobdell, Blair Johnson, Jonah Johnson and Olivia Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Warren County Humane Society or Hospice. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Road, Warren, Pennsylvania.
