April Zimmer

April was born on March 4, 1973, in Warren, to the late Jack Zimmer and Anita (Pearson) Zimmer, who survives.

April was a 1991 graduate of Warren Area High School. She worked for McDonald’s and Blair Corporation, from which she retired, due to illness. She enjoyed going to the beach, sitting around campfires, and spending time with family and friends. April loved her son, Skylar, more than anything, he was the light of her life. She had a contagious laugh, great sense of humor, and a heart of gold. She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

In addition to her mother, April is survived by her son, Skylar Zimmer, of Warren; her canine companions Rosey and Tramp; her sister, Wendy Zimmer and fiance, Alex Maclees; her niece, Serena Haight; her Aunt Barb and Uncle Jim Stanko; her Uncle Chuck Pearson; and her cousins Jaime Housler, Jada Shirley, Jinelle Walker, and Kylie Kennedy, along with many other relatives on both her mother and father’s side of the family.

In addition to her father, April is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Myrtle and Donald Pearson; and her step-grandfather, Everett Walters.

Friends will be received from 35PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A memorial service will follow at 5PM, with Rev. Bill Beatty, pastor, officiating.
