Frances Marie White, 89, of Sugar Grove, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
Frances was born on November 2, 1930, in Warren, to the late Harry and Mary (Nurse) Brown. A lifelong area resident, Frances was a 1948 graduate of Warren High school.
She was employed as an inspector at GTE Sylvania, from which she retired. Francis was very active in the Lander United Methodist Church where she held various positions such as, treasurer, Sunday School teacher and organized the Summer Bible School Program. As someone who always put others first, she personally provided a ride to church for many local children spanning generations. She was a very loving and selfless woman and will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Frances is survived by her children, Debra (Dave) Passenger, of Russell, Todd (Sue) White, of Lander, Barbara (Dave) Clark, of Sugar Grove, Paula (Michael) Roney, of Warren, and Randy (Lisa) White, of Lander; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Kilburn, Christy (DeWayne) Moore, Stephanie (Josh) Russell, Michael (Tiffany) White, Amy (Ed) Lewis, Matthew (Carrie) Spencer, Katie Wynn, Sean Roney and companion Brianna Zaffino, Sarah Roney, Roxanne White and companion Matthew Cabisca, and Bridget White and companion Chris Albaugh; 20 great grandchildren; sisterinlaws Thelma White and Evalyn Churchill; many nieces and nephews and dear friend Kathleen Barrett.
In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Harry T. White Sr.; and her siblings, Gladys Gebhardt, George Brown, Carl Brown, Betty Peterson and Bill Brown.
Friends will be received from 36 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365 and for one hour prior to a service at 11 AM on Monday, December 23, 2019, at the Lander United Methodist Church, 5582 PA957, Russell, PA 16345, Rev. Mark Hurst, pastor, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be given to the Lander United Methodist Church, 5582 PA957, Russell, PA 16345.
