Deann Carol King

Deann Carol King, 82, of Warren, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.

Deann was born on June 22, 1937, to the late Reuben Charles and Katherine Garnet (Fulton) Swanson.

Deann was a 1956 graduate of Warren High School. In her younger years was a member of Youth for Christ and enjoyed church camp at Findlay Lake. She was a member of the Christians Women’s Club for many years and a member of Holy Redeemer Church where she served on numerous church committees and organized many successful fundraisers. Deann had a wonderful gift for saying grace with exceptional beauty and love, something that will be very missed. Deann was a loving mom always involved with PTA, being a Brownie and Cub Scout leader, attending countless school functions and ball games, and loved camping with family. Deann was a courageous cancer survivor of 20 plus year. She loved watching birds, baseball and softball and was an avid Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates fan. Deann especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren passing on the wisdom and kindness that only a grandmother can.

Deann is survived by her children, Mark (Chris) King, Gail (Paula) King, Holly (Bob) Domville, and Michelle (Mark) Bupp; her sisterinlaw, Barbara Palumbo, of Hubband, OH; her 13 grandchildren, Andy King and fiancÈ, Clair Bevevino, Dr. Hannah (Logan) Donaldson, Emma King and fiancÈ, Evan Thomas, Grace (Sylas) Cameron, Garret (Mandy) King, Kate Domville, Sydney Domville, Lila Domville, and Sean Domville, Heather (Anthony) Cianciosi, Cody Bupp, Alexa Bupp and Jared Bupp; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Deann is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert King, whom she married on August 25, 1956, at First E.U.B. Church in Warren; and her brother, Gail Swanson.

Friends will be received from 47 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Holy Redeemer Church, 11 Russell St, Warren, PA 16365.

Burial will take place at Warren County Memorial Park.

The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Warren County Little League, Hospice of Warren County or the Cancer Care Center at WGH.
