Joseph Scalise

Scalise, Joseph Donald, November 14, 2019, of Grand Island, NY (native of Warren, PA). Dear father of David (Nancy), Christina and Donald (Karen) Scalise. Grandfather of Kimberly Scalise, Regina (Joel) Hawes, Eric, Makenna and Jackson Scalise. Brother of Larry (Julie), George (late Dorothea), Margaret, and the late Frank (Dora) and Robert (Cissie) Scalise. Also survived by Linda Hess Scalise (Frank). Son of the late Natale and Rose Scalise. Don retired from Ashland Oil after a long and dedicated career. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus as a Fourth Degree Knight, was an active parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church, and enjoyed many years of golf with his friends. He also served on the USS Catamount during the Korean War. Family and friends may call Monday, November 18, 37 PM at the Kaiser Funeral Home 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, November 19 at 10 AM at St. Stephen’s Church, Grand Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made and sent to: VA WNY Healthcare Systems, Voluntary Services 3495 Bailey Ave. Buffalo, NY 14217 c/o Willow Lodge.
