Luella “Tootie” M. Wilson Check, 95, of Warren passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Warren Manor after a brief stay. Born in Pittsfield, PA on July 16, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosie (Pillsbury) Wilson.

Tootie was formerly in a bowling league, and in a card club. She enjoyed baking and cooking especially for her family and will be remembered for the 4th of July gatherings that she had at her home for family and friends for many years. She loved traveling to Ricky Van Shelton and Danny O’Donnell concerts. She was formerly employed at Pennsylvania Gas Company, G.C. Murphys, Kresgies and New Process Company; and, was retired from GTE Sylvania after 37 years where she was a switchboard operator.

Surviving are 2 sisters, Evelyn “Cookie” Pratz of Sugar Grove, Florence Abplanalp and her husband, Jack of Youngsville; 1 brother, Richard (Pat) Wilson of Lander; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and greatgreat nieces and nephews. In addition to to her parents, she was preceded in death by a 3 brothers, Albert Wilson, Robert Wilson, James Wilson;and a sister Grace Dewitt.

Friends will be received on Saturday, August 17th from Noon to 2 pm at McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc., 54 West Main Street, Youngsville, PA where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 17th, with Rev. Donald Wells, Starbrick Community Church officiating. Burial will be private in Warren County Memorial Park.
