Marjorie Minna Bosin Barry

She was born March 1, 1973 in Warren, PA, daughter of Susan L. Mahood Bosin McGuire (John Mihalko) and Carl. W. Bosin (Mae Brown).

As a young girl, Marje knew her life calling was to work in patient care and worked as a teen at the local Barley Nursing Home in North Warren. After graduating Warren High in 1991, Marje obtained a B.S. in Biology at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland immediately followed by a B.S.N. in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She began her licensed nursing career as a traveling nurse and has worked at many hospitals around the country in various ICU and Surgical departments. She also worked as a research clinician at the City of Hope Cancer Center near Los Angeles, CA. Marje and her dog, Sydney, provided both pet therapy and Reading with Rover services in the hospitals and libraries in Seattle, WA. Following her marriage, her main focus has been allowing her career to follow her husband’s around the country. She has made beautiful homes for them and their two beloved dogs in Seattle, WA, Mission Viejo, CA, and Ashland, OR

Marje was a funloving, adventurous, and silly spirit who never stopped moving. She made lifelong friends wherever she was and was always the planner and organizer of fun and familyoriented events. She was the caregiver in any group and was quick to put her career on hold to help several family members through longterm illnesses and treatments. Marje was vivacious and left a lasting impression wherever she went. Marje enjoyed horseback riding, standup paddle boarding, bowling, gardening, reading, hosting parties, and good food. Marje was truly a world traveler, visiting many destinations all over Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America, and tropical destinations. Marje was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; a brother, Jeffery P. Bosin; two Aunts; and an Uncle.

Marje is survived by her husband, Todd S. Barry, whom she married on May 5, 2003, and their two labradoodles, Sydney and Phinney. She is also survived by her parents Susan L. Mahood Bosin McGuire (John Mihalko) and Carl. W. Bosin (Mae Brown); one sister, Kelli S. Bosin Ford; two brothersinlaw, Craig Barry (Sun Valley, ID) and Brian and Erin Barry (Richland, WA); two nieces, Kennedy L. Ford and Reese Barry; and one nephew, Cole Barry; her MotherInLaw, Veryl Lord (Palm Desert, CA); and her FatherinLaw, Dennis Barry (Greensboro, NC) and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by loving Uncle and Aunt, Greg and Kris Moylan, of Delray Beach, FL (formerly of Warren) who were relatives, friends, and traveling companions of Marje and Todd.

A Celebration of Life Service will be planned in Warren, PA, sometime in June at a time and location to be determined later.
