Mrs. Martha Ellen Allen Smith, age 87, of Tidioute, PA, passed away the afternoon of March 24, 2019, at The Warde Health Center Assisted Living Facility in Windham, New Hampshire.
Born January 27, 1932, in New Castle, PA, she was daughter to the late Mr. Clare K. and Mrs. Dorothy M. Allen. She married Paul L. Smith on December 27, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Martha was a graduate of Eastbrook School in New Castle, PA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Donald A. Smith and wife Laura of Pelham, NH and James E. Smith and wife Michelle of Newton, MA; one brother, Donald Allen and wife Betty of Weirton, WV; one sister, Ruth Connerly and husband Robert of New Castle, PA; and five grandchildren, Alexis, Ethan, Erika, Eliot and Elisa.
Visitation will be held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA, on Sunday, March 31, from 2:00 4:00 PM. A service will be held immediately following visitation at 4:00 PM with Pastor John Fraser officiating.
Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in New Castle, PA.
