Leigh McIntyre

He was born August 25, 1933 in Sparta Twp., Michigan, a son to the late, Donald and Fannie Luella (Gold) McIntyre. Leigh served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and then went on to work as a Machinist at Sylvania for more than 30 years. He loved to hunt and fish.

Leigh is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis A. (Enos) McIntyre of Pittsfield, PA, his children, Marsue Ann Evans, (RN, BSN,PHN, MA & Traditional Naturopath) of California, Frances L. McIntyre, (LCMT & NCBPMB) and Donald E. (Edith) McIntyre (computer expert) of North Carolina; a sister, Doris Jean Coates of Riverview Michigan; his grandchildren, Freeman L. Mayberry, Freedom A. Mayberry, Paul Evans, Michael Knight, Cherie Knight, Stephen McIntyre and Emmaline McIntyre; his greatgrandchildren, Regan Evans, Eli Mayberry and JJ Evans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Leigh was preceded in death by a son, Allan N. McIntyre, a grandson, Patrick Evans and his siblings, Barbara Berstrom, Robert McIntyre, D. Bruce McIntyre and Lorraine Church.

An informal gathering will be held at the Berea Educational Building located at the junction of route 6 and route 958 from 1:003:00pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019. An interment service will be held on August 4, 2019 at 11:00am at the Wrightsville Cemetery.
