Ruth Walter

Ruth M. Walter, 65, of Russell St., Warren, Pa., and formerly of Corry, Pa., died Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

She was born July 26, 1953, in Corry, Pa, a daughter of the late William and Pauline Powers Lindstrom Sr.

Ruth was raised and educated in the Corry area and attended Corry area schools. She then married and stayed home to raise and care for her family. Ruth later became a CNA and worked at the Corry Manor. In 1991, she and her family moved to Warren. She worked for Central Care Center Nursing Home and then for Kinzua Valley Health Care. Most recently, Ruth was working home health care with Help Mates in Warren.

She enjoyed going to casinos and mostly spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Sr; a daughter, Patches Irwin; a sister, Judy Lindstrom; and two grandchildren, Cody Tucker and Karli Tucker.

Ruth is survived by her fiance, William Titch of Warren, Pa.; three daughters, Virginia Gates of Corry, Pa., Bessica Walter of Youngsville, Pa., and Nicole Walter and her fiance, Steven Haight of Warren, Pa.; a son, James Walter Jr. and his companion, Dawn Keesler of Warren, Pa.; three sisters, June Johnson and her husband George of Williamsport, Pa.; Jane Poe and her husband Charles of Hershey, Pa., and Helen Whaley and her husband Ernest of Corry, Pa.; and five brothers, William Lindstrom Jr and his wife Virginia of Corry, Pa., Robert Lindstrom of Corry, Pa., Thomas Lindstrom and his wife Beth of Spartansburg, Pa., Roger Lindstrom and his wife Tammy of Waterford, Pa, and Kenneth Lindstrom of Corry, Pa.

She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Friday from 11 am until the time of the funeral service there at 1 pm. Rev. James Moffett will officiate.
