Dorothy Barton

Dorothy Jane Barton, 99, of Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warren, PA and formerly of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Sunday morning, November 18, 2018.

She was born April 2, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter to the late Walter and Margaret (O’Brien) Aaron. Jane worked as a secretary for the National Forge for a number of years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church and was involved in the Altar Rosary Society, Ladies Auxiliary and the Youngsville Volunteer Fire Department. Jane was a member of the Friends of the Rouse and also volunteered many hours at the Rouse Home. She enjoyed bowling, Bridge Club and cooking.

Jane is survived by her children, Jeffrey L. (Brenda) Barton of Seneca, SC, and Sue (Edward) Orcutt of Russell, PA; her grandchildren, Lindsay (Tim) Nyquist, Troy (Lisa) Albaugh and Amanda (Nicholas) Eglin and her greatgrandchildren, Alexis and Tommy Nyquist, Ashlyn and Miller Albaugh and Aubrey and Norah Eglin.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Barton and two sisters, Rosemary Sample and Marjorie Hill.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1011AM at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, 420 North Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371. A Mass of Christian burial will be held there at 11:00AM with the Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Youngsville Cemetery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and to all of the wonderful, caring people that took care of their mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.
