Marilyn Zehr

She was born on May 8, 1940 in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania to Laverne and Jessie (Morrison) Haight. On October 28, 1961, she married Paul E. Zehr in Pennsylvania.

Marilyn was a homemaker and an active member of Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, & grandmother. She enjoyed traveling to Holmes County with her husband, decorating, & spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time visiting with shutins.

She is survived by her husband Paul Zehr of Berne; daughter, Darlene Zehr of Adrian, Mi.; three sons, Darrell (Melisa) Zehr of Middletown, In., Duane (Dawn) Zehr of Helena, Mt., & Brad (Julie) Zehr of Spencerville, In.; two sisters, Barbara (LaRue) Gross of Inverness, Fl. & Sharon (Gerald) Bennett of Pittsfield, Pa.; two brothers, Dennis (Marlyn) Haight of Salem, Oh., & Thomas (Paulette) Haight of Alliance, Oh.; sisterinlaw, Colleen Haight of Berne, In.; & five grandchildren, Shelsea Zehr, Cassie Zehr, Christian Zehr, Andrew Zehr, & Allie Zehr.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Haight & Duane Haight.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Mt. Hope Church with Pastor David Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Evangelical Mennonite Cemetery.

Family & friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, YagerKirchhofer Chapel in Berne and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Literature for Africa.
