Janice passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at her home in Auburndale, FL following a brief illness. Janice was born on August 26, 1958, to the late Donald and Shirley (Staub) Schrecengost, Marienville, PA. She was raised in Marienville and was a 1976 graduate of East Forest High School. After High School, she went to the Beauty Academy of Cosmology in Erie, PA and was a licensed beautician and teacher. She worked at various salons and later returning to her hometown to work at Nancy Wilson Beauty Parlor. Janice was active in the community and was an Emergency Medical Technician for Marienville. This inspired her to return to school to become a Nurse. She graduated from Warren General Hospital with her LPN and then earning her Bachelor of Nursing from Jamestown Community College. She held a variety of different nursing roles at Warren General Hospital. She was compassionate and loved by all her patients who she cared for. As a new chapter of her life began, she left the Operating Room with Warren General Hospital and moved to Auburndale, FL. She then worked at the Heart of Florida until she retired.

She married the love of her life, Edward on February 22, 1992. She instantly became the Mother of two children, Todd Houser, of Lake Alfred, Florida and Kristen (Marc) Kinander, of Pittsburgh, PA; Grandson, LCPL Tyson Gigliotti. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Regina (Sis) Staub, of Marienville, PA, and a cat, Tess.

Janice had a zest for life, she and Ed made many trips to the Caribbean and always put everyone else before her. If you were lucky enough to be a recipient, you knew her love was pure. She was an avid shopper, reader, crafter and crocheted everyone blankets. She left us far too early, but will never be forgotten.
