Robert “Woody” Woodin

Robert “Woody” Woodin, Sr., 78, of Bear Lake, Pa., died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the Corry Manor.

He was born June 19, 1939, in Lottsville, Pa., a son of the late Hubert Archie and Inez Hildum Woodin, Sr.

Woody was raised and educated in the Lottsville area and graduated from Youngsville High School in 1957. Following high school, he went to work at ProtoTool Company in Jamestown, N.Y. Woody retired from there because of a disability after 20 years of service. He later worked parttime as a fishing and hunting guide in Canada (170 miles above North Bay, Ontario).

He was a former member of the Bear Lake Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by two sisters, Autumn Saunders and Patricia Woodin; and two brothers, Archie and Roger Woodin.

Woody is survived by his wife, Alice Damon Woodin, whom he married July 30, 1960 in Columbus, Pa.; a daughter, Lisa Case and her husband Mike of Panama, N.Y.; three sons, Robert K. Woodin, Jr. of Columbus, Pa., David Woodin and his wife Lynn Ann of Corry, Pa., and Mark Woodin and his wife Louise of Jamestown, N.Y.; a sister, Ethel Reed of Youngsville, Pa.; and his twin brother, Ronald Woodin of Bear Lake, Pa.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, one step great great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation held.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service at the Bear Lake Fire Hall, Center St., Bear Lake, Pa., on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 11 am. Rev. Jack Sturges will officiate.

Burial will be held privately by the family.
