Helen Kyler

Helen R. Kyler, 98, died peacefully March 10, 2018, at the Warren Manor. Helen was born November 17, 1919 in Dubois, Pa. She was the daughter of Agnes and Bayard Ross. She was a 1937 graduate of Warren Area High School and then worked in payroll at the New Process Company for several years. Later she worked in the Chaplains Office at the Warren State Hospital until her retirement in 1984. she was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, now the Pleasant Community Church, where she served as a secretary for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star, the Sr. Center, and 55+ groups. She was an avid reader, liked crossword puzzles, playing cards, playing piano and enjoyed country line dancing into her 80’s.
She is survived by a daughter Barbara Witman and husband Michael, , of Bethel, Pa, and sons Marshall Kyler and wife Bernie, of Rocky River, Ohio, and David Kyler, of Warren. Also surviving is a niece Eileen Humphrey, Gowanda, NY and a nephew Steve Ross, Wilmington, Del.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Chester W. Kyler Jr in 1981.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations may be sent to the Pleasant Community Church, Warren Pa.
