James Hankinson

Jim was raised in Indiana, PA, and was a graduate of Penns Manor High School. He married his wife, Vivia “Vickie,” on June 1, 1974, and moved to Warren. For a brief time, he was employed by Warren Concrete, and for the past twenty two years, he worked at Mauser USA (formerly Berenfield Container) as a machine operator. Jim was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. He also enjoyed the outdoors–hunting and fishing; and especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife–Vivia J. “Vickie” Cressley Hankinson; two daughters–Valerie Bailey (Jim), of Warren, PA, and Jennifer Halstead, of Centralia, WA; one son–Jay Hankinson, of Sheffield, PA; eight grandchildren–Courtney, Devin, Chloe, Taya, Cody, Ary, Hunter and Dakota; one great-grandson–Richard; eleven siblings, JoAnn Bash (Scot), of Commodore, PA, Janet Persinger, of VA, Linda Utberg (Hank), of WV, Larry Richards, of FL, Phyllis Richards, of Deckers Point, PA, Vinnie Gilbert, of VA, Bob Wagner (Katie), of Latrobe, PA, JD Wagner (Sharon), of Clymer, PA, Bonnie Helman (Randy), of Ernest, PA, Brenda Ratay (Jim), of Rochester Mills, PA, and Michelle Shedlock (Kevin), of Clymer, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Barb Cramer.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Saturday, February 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. George Rockwell, pastor, officiating.
