Crystal Anderson

On Wednesday, December 27, Crystal Ann Anderson, 51, of Warren, lost her final battle with cancer after a 20 year fight with multiple sclerosis at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House. She often would say she had MS, but it didn’t have her.

Crystal was born February 15, 1966, at Ft. Bragg, NC. She was the daughter of the late Willis M. Sullivan, who was killed in Vietnam, and Mary H. (Bullock) Sturdevant, who lost her own battle with cancer.

A lifelong Warren resident, she was a 1984 graduate of Warren Area High School, and had worked most of her life at Thornes BiLo, and for a brief time at the cafeteria at Warren Area High School. She had a true passion for people. In her free time, she was a Boy Scout Leader and a Girl Scout Leader. Above all, her greatest love was her children and family.

Crystal is survived by two children, Shauna Sanders, and husband, Josh, of Sugar Grove, and Michael Anderson, of Warren; one sister, Catherine Parke, and husband; four brothers, Robert Sullivan, of Clarendon, Roger Sullivan, and wife, Christene, of Starbrick, Rodney Sullivan, of FL, and Richard Sturdevant, of Warren; aunt, Nancy Bullock, of Warren; uncle, Gary Bullock, also of Warren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, Willis and Helen Sullivan; maternal grandparents, Harold “Had” and Opal Bullock; three aunts, Gloria Conklin, Carol Bullock and Connie Walters; and uncle, Richard “Dick” Bullock.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Sunday, December 31, from 1 to 3 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Billy Hughes, pastor, Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, officiating. Private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution should consider the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church, 210 Jamestown St, Sugar Grove, PA 16350; or the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, C/O Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.
