James Clausen
James D. “Jim” Clausen, age 77, of Centerville, PA, formerly of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Erie on May 21, 1940, son of the late Paul and Edna Fullerton Clausen, Sr.
Jim was employed with Norfolk and Western then Penn Central Railroad for many years, retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jim was a member of the American Legion, Gaited Horse Club, NRA and American Quarter Horse Club. He rode Gaited Spanish Horses in parades and on trails. Jim also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed construction, especially building something out of nothing. Jim was only a brief stranger to anyone he met.
Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Barney Clausen. Survivors include the love of his life, Ann Marie Kerr; two daughters, Angela Clausen and Sandra Rodgers; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be designated to the family.
