Ryan Winkels

Ryan Curtis Winkels, 51, of Youngsville, PA, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born October 19, 1965 in Redondo Beach, CA to the late Dwight Winkels and Leonnette Lauffenberger Winkels who survives him of Youngsville. Ryan worked as an Aircraft Mechanic for Chautauqua Airlines and was also an independent truck driver. He was a past member of the Warren Eagles Club and enjoyed working on his 1968 Plymouth Satellite. He loved MOPAR and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandsons. Ryan would have done anything for anyone, even if it meant giving the shirt of his back; He will be missed by all that knew him.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Candie Williams Winkels, whom he married September 15, 1987 in McLean, VA; his children, Eric (Alison) Winkels and Shawna (Rodney) Thomas, both of Youngsville, PA; his grandsons, Blake and Kasen Winkels; his siblings, Dwayne (Raven) Winkels of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Roger (Wendy) Winkels of Clarendon, PA; his aunts, Adrienne Winkels of CA, Ardelle Conroy of Bradford and Kathy Lauffenburger of Warren; his uncle, Bryant Winkels of Texas, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Gloria Williams of Jamestown, NY; his kidney donor whom became a part of the family, Cheryl Lockhart and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Loura Winkels and his uncles, Hugh Lauffenburger, Thurman and Doyle Winkels.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 10:00am12:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held there with the Rev. Kathleen Thompson, pastor at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.
