Domenica Mangione
Domenica Mangione 73 of the Rouse Care Cottages in Youngsville died very suddenly Monday, June 12, 2017. She was born March 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Ignazio and Cristina Colaciello Mangione, in Frosolone, Italy. They came to the United States when she was a teenager finally settling in Sheffield.
Domenica is survived by her son, Gino and his wife Mary and two grandchildren, Alex and Mariessa, a brother Nick Mangione and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, whom she had married in Frosolone, Italy in 1960, and three Children, Mary (Angel), Fillipo and Tony.
Domenica enjoyed baking, cooking for others knitting, and helping at church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
She was a member of the St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Sheffield, and worked at the Ruth M. Smith Day Care.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16,2017 from 24 and 79 at the Borden Funeral Home, Sheffield, where a Christian Wake will be held at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at St. Anthony’s Church, at 10:00 am, with Father Jim Gutting, Pastor officiating, interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Warren.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Experience Inc., Area Agency on Aging, 905 Fourth Avenue Warren Pa. 1636
