Carol Burgeson

Carol Ann Burgeson, age 79 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Halifax Health Hospice in Edgewater, Florida. She was born in Warren, Pennsylvania on November 18, 1937, the fourth child of the late Archibald Tanner Burgeson and Margaret Elizabeth Barrett. Carol was a 1955 graduate of Warren Area High School. Though she had lived in Pennsylvania, Florida, Vermont, and Illinois, Carol spent most of her life in Indiana. She worked 28 years as a Medical Technician in the Hematology Laboratory at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, retiring in 2000. Carol had an inherent love of music and animals, and she loved to travel. Her many interests included coin collecting, bird watching, animal welfare, woodworking, gardening, dining out with friends, and listening to live music. Carol was a very generous soul who supported a magnitude of noteworthy causes and charitable organizations throughout her lifetime. Carol was preceded in death by her siblings, Madolyn (Burgeson) Geer, Onolee (Burgeson) Rodgers, and Robert Burgeson. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
