Rita Lindgren

She was born August 30, 1942 in Corry, PA, a daughter to the late Merle Clemons and Elvira Josephine (Johnson) Fitzgerald. Rita graduated from Warren Area High School and then worked for Blair, Quality Markets and also sold Avon for a period of time. She was a member of the Youngsville American Legion and owned a Harley Davidson motorcycle as she was an avid rider and fan. Rita always enjoyed baking, making chocolates and breeding her pet Cockatiel birds.

She is survived by her son, Gary Lindgren of Richmond, VA; a son-in-law, Bradley J. Smith of Warren, PA; her siblings, Nancy Smith of Irvine, PA, Veryl Brinkley of Warren, PA, Lambert Fitzgerald of Ohio and Donald Fitzgerald of Arizona; her grandchildren, Felicia Williams, Shawn Jenkins, Jasmine Lindgren, Brook Lindgren, Lars Larson, and Ariel Lindgren and her greatgrandchildren, Griffin Williams, Ramsey Williams, Abby Jenkins and Noah Jenkins Cade Lincoln Lindgren.

Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Lucky” Lindgren; a daughter, Barbara A. (Lindgren) Smith and an infant son, David Scott Lindgren.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 22, at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 11:0012:00pm at which time a memorial service will be held there with the Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor of the Rouse Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
